Danny Taylor is a drummer/percussionist based in New York. He received a B.M in percussion performance from California State University, Northridge in Los Angeles where he grew up. He has played in over 40 regional and touring musical productions. Selected Off Broadway/Broadway/National tour credits include: The Marvelous Wonderettes (drums), In The Heights (perc.), Sister Act (perc., drums, associate conductor), Legally Blonde (drums), Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame (drums/percussion), Allegiance (drums).
When not working in theatre, Danny enjoys a very busy teaching schedule with the Manhattan Drum School. In addition to being a musician & teacher, he has worked as a musical director, arranger, and producer. He plays a variety of gigs in and around NYC including singer/songwriters, readings/workshops of new shows, cabarets, and cover bands. You can also catch him playing with Gallant Entertainment which provides drum lines for the Giants, Jets, Knicks, Rangers, and multiple corporate events.
Danny is currently serving as drummer and assistant conductor on the First National Tour of Disney’s Aladdin.
Danny Young is a drummer, singer and songwriter currently based in Nashville, TN. He holds a double B.A. in percussion performance and communication studies from Luther College. Danny currently tours with Brandy Clark and Ricky Skaggs, his own band, EastLand, country band Thompson Square, and many others. He is also heavily involved in recording sessions for Hal Leonard, Broadway Junior, and Disney, along with a variety of established/upcoming acts from across the world.
Danny was also recently the drummer on Queen's Broadway shows, 'We Will Rock You', the first national tour of, 'A Night with Janis Joplin', and Green Day's, 'American Idiot'. One of Danny's proudest achievements to date was being able to write and play the drum book for the Broadway bound show, 'The Nutty Professor'; working with the late, great Jerry Lewis and Marvin Hamlish. Other past drumming credits include Thompson Square, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Shania Twain, Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Liza Minnelli, The Platters, The Voice finalist Mary Sarah, back-line appearances on NBC's show SMASH!, Ann Hampton Callaway, Lorna Luft, and many more! He also owns his own furniture building company called Young Custom Furniture and is also currently the host of A&E's Saturday morning DIY block, Home.Made.
JOSHUA MARK SAMUELS
Joshua Mark Samuels has traveled the world playing drums and percussion. Joshua is currently the percussionist for Broadway’s Beetlejuice. His accolades also include playing percussion for the Radio City Rockettes, drummer and percussion for many Broadway shows, including ALADDIN, JERSEY BOYS, MISS SAIGON, A BRONX TALE, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, CHAPLIN, and GODSPELL, and has toured with ALADDIN, JERSEY BOYS and the Broadway revival of ANYTHING GOES. He also teaches privately in NYC.
Joshua holds his BA from the University of Southern California and has played with several orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Throughout the years, Joshua has been fortunate to play with and arrange drum/percussion parts for many amazing artists and acts from all over the world. These diversity of gigs, artists and styles have greatly helped shape Joshua both as a player and a person.
